I used it after being introduced by an acquaintance on a walking pilgrimage. It is located about 3 minutes on foot from Iyoshi Station, which is about 20 minutes from JR Matsuyama Station. This is a wonderful ryokan that was built about 70 years ago by renovating the mansion of a wealthy merchant, and has a retro exterior and interior that blends Japanese and Western styles. Iyo City is off the walking pilgrimage route, but if you’re staying at a boring hotel or ryokan in Matsuyama City, I’d recommend staying here.
