Pilgrims often describe Henro-yado Moyai as “new, clean, and well-equipped,” noting how useful the shared amenities like the microwave and washing machine are for long-term travelers. Its low rates and direct location on the pilgrimage path make it especially attractive. One blog entry highlighted how comfortable the Western-style rooms were, complete with pajamas and towels, and even enjoyed the view of trains passing by the window. No negative reviews were found—many describe it as “a perfectly functional and worry-free place to stay.”
I used it on a walking pilgrimage. Although it is an inn that specializes in overnight stays, there are supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, so there is no need to worry. There was also a microwave. It seems that the hot water in the bath is changed every time, so it is very clean. The price is also cheap, and it is convenient along the Henro Road.
