Guests consistently praise the hotel for its clean and spacious rooms, with many stating, “The room was large and very comfortable.” The hotel’s location—halfway between Sukumo Station and the downtown area—is also highly rated, as is the spacious and free parking lot. The breakfast menu is described as rich and satisfying, and the Japanese-style dishes made with local ingredients have received particularly favorable reviews. Staff are often commended for their friendly and considerate service, including flexible breakfast arrangements. While some guests mention that “the building and interior show signs of age,” and a few prefer “the private bath in the room over the communal bath,” the overall impression is overwhelmingly positive. Many describe the hotel as “a dependable base with comfort and value that exceed expectations.”
I used it on the way to the 40th temple, Kanjizai-ji Temple, on Sept. 10, 2024. The restaurant in the building was closed and I couldn’t use it for dinner, but there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby. I told them I wanted to leave early because I was walking the pilgrimage, and they were happy to accommodate me. I’m grateful.
