A Reliable Base Near the Temple — Heartwarming Local Cuisine and Hospitality
Minshuku Kan is located just a one-minute walk from Kongōfuku-ji, the 38th temple on the Shikoku pilgrimage route. It’s a dependable stopover, offering pilgrims the sense of staying with a kind relative. All rooms are clean and comfortable, equipped with unit baths, and amenities such as free parking (for two cars), Wi-Fi, and washing/drying machines. Dinner is a highlight — fresh local fish depending on the day’s catch, tempura, and steamed Shimanto pork are served in generous, flavorful portions. One of the most appreciated aspects is the innkeeper’s thoughtful hospitality: early morning departures are met with handmade rice balls, and many guests have been moved by the genuine care extended to them. With its prime location, thoughtful amenities, fulfilling meals, and warm service, this inn gently embraces tired travelers and helps them find the strength to continue their journey.

The inn is on the second floor of a dining room run by a young couple. Although the building is old, there is no dissatisfaction with the unit bath in the room. There is no refrigerator, but there is a vending machine, so there is no problem. 8800 yen for one night with two meals. The food was very delicious, not to mention the fish, and the steamed pork was amazing. There are no shops around. If you leave early in the morning, they will bring you a rice ball. It seems that you can also buy takeout side dishes for lunch. A comfortable inn where you can appreciate the attention of the owner. Smoke outside.
