Guests consistently praise the cuisine, noting that “the fresh seafood dishes were delicious and plentiful, offering incredible value” and “even during a two-night stay, the dinner menu changed completely, showing creativity and thoughtfulness.” Pilgrims also appreciate the warm hospitality, commenting that “the landlady, her family, and even the friendly resident dog were very healing.” Though the building has a nostalgic Showa-era charm and some guests found the shower or traditional squat toilets a bit dated, many also shared that “the rooms were clean, and the sounds of insects at night helped us sleep deeply.” Overall, the inn is widely supported as a place where great food and heartfelt hospitality shine.
I arrived late at night and my husband came to pick me up at Yuki station by car. The section was taken care of. The room was clean and although it was winter, there was a kotatsu in the room so I could relax.
★★★★ (4 out of 5 stars)
I stayed without meals due to a same-day reservation. Since there are no places to eat nearby, I brought in side dishes I bought during the pilgrimage, and they provided me with white rice in the dining hall. Next time, I want to reserve a meal and arrive earlier.
★★★★ (4 out of 5 stars)
