A tranquil retreat where nature and design quietly harmonize by the river
Located along the serene Sadamigawa River in Kamiyama, Tokushima, WEEK Kamiyama is a wooden accommodation facility opened in July 2015. Built with local cedar and cypress, its eight river-facing guest rooms offer expansive views of the flowing Aikui River. From cozy double rooms to spacious options for families or workation groups, the flexible room types cater to a wide range of travelers. The shared hall provides a welcoming space where guests naturally connect with others, while the inclusion of local touches—like sudachi beer made from local citrus—adds an authentic charm. Breakfast plans and guest-only bathing hours in the public bath allow visitors to unwind with thoughtful care. Just 40 minutes by car from Tokushima City and close to Temple 12, Tairyū-ji, this quiet stay serves as a peaceful rest point for pilgrims and explorers alike—an enriching interlude in the rhythm of everyday life.
