User Review Summary (from external sites)
Though the building itself carries signs of age, the interior has been renovated and is widely praised for its cleanliness and comfort—including the baths, rooms, and toilets. Guests frequently describe the meals as generous and delicious, with one reviewer expressing deep satisfaction after a dinner featuring eel. Thoughtful services like laundering guests’ clothes and even folding and returning them to the room have left strong impressions. Flexibility is also a key strength: early breakfast service has been arranged upon request, accommodating tired pilgrims’ schedules. The innkeepers—a kind and attentive couple—are often mentioned for their warm hospitality, making this ryokan a trusted and welcoming refuge for walkers on the Shikoku trail.

It is difficult to cross Tamagatoge(=Tamagatao) Pass, but I don’t think you will regret staying here.
It’s a wonderful inn. We especially recommend the hearty dishes.

After all, the food is gorgeous.
In my case, they served eel.
My legs were quite damaged from going from Fujiidera to Shosan-ji and then downhill, so I was glad to have such a hearty meal.
My laundry was washed, and after I finished eating, it was folded and left in my room to dry.
Since I wanted to leave early in the morning, I requested breakfast at 06:00, and they happily accommodated me.
Grand landlady? He seems to be an active pilgrim, and when I stayed there he said he had just returned from visiting about 10 temples.
