A Warmly Renovated Kominka with Heartfelt Meals by the Pilgrimage Path
Nestled quietly between Temple 73 (Shusshakaji) and Temple 74 (Kozanji), Henro Minshuku Tsurukichi is a lovingly restored traditional Japanese home offering heartfelt comfort for pilgrims. Dinner features homemade dishes using seasonal vegetables and Seto Inland Sea fish, while mornings invite guests to step barefoot into the garden and gently prepare for the next day. The four private rooms are clean and equipped with Wi‑Fi, microwave, and coin-operated washer/dryer—ideal for tending to the weariness of a long journey. Free parking for 10 vehicles and shuttle service upon request make it a reliable choice for both walking and driving pilgrims. This inn quietly supports tired feet and gently encourages hearts to continue walking forward.

Guests frequently praise the inn’s “homemade, hearty meals” and “clean Japanese-style rooms perfect for restful sleep.” The warm hospitality of the owners is often mentioned with appreciation. Many have enjoyed the rustic outdoor bath designed like a traditional goemonburo and the shared dining experiences that foster relaxed conversation. Although the inn is slightly off the main pilgrimage trail, guests note that its large parking lot and flexible shuttle service provide peace of mind for car pilgrims. Overall, the inn is widely loved as “a simple yet deeply thoughtful accommodation that warmly welcomes all travelers.”
It’s hard to see from the pilgrimage road, but they will pick you up by car to the 72nd Mandala-ji Temple and landmarks along the pilgrimage road. The building has been renovated and looks like new. The food is also gorgeous.

You can relax in the bath made by the host.
A clean and comfortable Japanese-style room, delicious tempura dinner served in front of you, an atmospheric open-air bath, and a friendly host. It was very comfortable.
