I stayed here in late May 2026 during a short “sampling” pilgrimage. Although this may sound a bit blunt, considering the price, the facilities and service were outstanding. The property was kept very clean, and while breakfast may not be luxurious, it was more than sufficient and satisfying.

The location is also excellent, less than a 10-minute walk from JR Anan Station on the Mugi Line. After visiting Onzan-ji and Tatsue-ji the previous day, I stayed here and then left most of my luggage at the hotel, carrying only the essentials while walking the famous “Henro Korogashi” route over Tsurugi-ji and Tairyu-ji. After descending the mountain, I returned to Anan Station by bus and stayed another night. On the third day, I took the train from Anan to Arawa Station and comfortably continued my pilgrimage to Byōdō-ji (Temple 22) and Yakuō-ji (Temple 23).

I had previously stayed here during a pilgrimage tour by jumbo taxi last spring and remembered it very positively, so I chose this hotel again for my walking pilgrimage. The staff’s understanding and respect for pilgrims made my stay especially enjoyable.

If I were to mention a few minor points for future improvement—without considering the very reasonable price—I found the Twin A room a little small and would appreciate a slightly more spacious option like Twin C. The air conditioner was somewhat difficult to adjust, and the toilet seat in the unit bathroom would not stay open, while the seat heater was not working. These are not major issues, and I understand they require investment, but I would be happy if they could be improved in the future.
