A Restful One-Tatami Stay Along the Pilgrimage Path, Wrapped in the Spirit of Hospitality
Located in Ueda Town, Kan’onji City, Zenkon-yado Zenigata carries on the traditional spirit of osettai—offering hospitality to walking pilgrims. Nestled quietly along the pilgrimage route and close to the famous Zenigata sand coin, this simple one-tatami room is open free of charge to pilgrims seeking rest (one room available, no fee required). Modest yet comforting, the space is furnished with a small table and chair, and sometimes you may even be greeted with complimentary mandarins. It’s a brief pause on your pilgrimage where you can feel the warmth of someone’s kindness nearby. With the iconic Kan’ei Tsuho landmark just a short walk away, this stay quietly lights a moment of serenity for your weary feet.
A favorite place for pilgrims to stay

Located along the pilgrimage route from Daikōji to Kan’onji, this zenkon-yado (pilgrims’ lodging) is conveniently situated with no detours. The accommodation itself is very clean and even has air conditioning. For walking pilgrims, it is recommended to have meals at nearby restaurants.
