Guests often highlight the inn’s scenic location, noting views of the Pacific Ocean and Cape Muroto, and its convenience for walking and sightseeing. Dinners featuring local seafood are described as “plentiful and moving” or “incredible value for the price.” Many praise the friendly hospitality of the innkeeper and her son, noting their kindness made the stay memorable. The practical features—such as laundry facilities, coin laundry, and free Wi-Fi—are especially appreciated by long-distance travelers. Some mention that certain facilities feel a bit old or that rooms lack personal refrigerators (only shared ones available), but overall, the inn is consistently praised for its views, meals, and warmth, making it a reliable favorite among pilgrims.
Muroto-so is located at the tip of Cape Muroto. The fish dish was so delicious. Cape Muroto is in front of you, and there is a statue of Shintaro Nakaoka nearby. I also heard a newspaper article and a story of the proprietress that it was destroyed by the Showa Muroto Typhoon. In terms of the itinerary, I arrived at Kapoura Station by a forced march, but if you want to move around first thing in the morning, I recommend it🌠
