A quiet “one more night” refuge where waves whisper across the grassy field
Nestled close to Shirahama Beach and surrounded by natural grass, Shirahama Campground offers a reliable wild camping alternative for walking pilgrims. With designated plots and many free parking spaces, the campground sits next to a roadside station where visitors can easily shop for local products and ingredients. Management is clearly organized, so you can safely leave your belongings unattended. The site includes flush toilets, kitchen facilities, and 24-hour paid showers with both hot and cold water—providing tired bodies with what they need to recover. Reservations and check-in are handled at the Tourist Information Center inside the roadside station, and nearby amenities such as a hot spring and convenience stores ensure well-supported stays. With an open view of the sea, this peaceful base allows travelers to regain strength and continue their journey the next day.
