Experience the rich life of Kamiyama in a renovated 150-year-old home
Nestled in the mountain village of Kamiyama, “Kamiyama Kurashi-no-Yado moja house” preserves the charm of a 150-year-old traditional home while offering a warm, lived-in feel—like visiting a friend’s place. A wood stove, sunny engawa porch, and classic sliding doors invite guests into the gentle pace of mountain life. Greetings from the owner
Moja House was created as a place where everyone can share the “delicious” and “fun” experiences of Kamiyama.
For dinner, we use seasonal ingredients such as our homegrown rice and fresh vegetables from local farmers. Let’s cook and enjoy the meal together with our guests.
The hosts also live in the same house. Feel free to ask us anything about life in Kamiyama, local recommendations, or our favorite ways to spend time here!
